Alex lernte ich ebenfalls durch das Tauschen von Platten kennen. Er lebte in Aachen und es wäre gelogen, wenn man unseren Start als nicht holprig bezeichnet hätte. Unser Kontakt brach ab und unsere Wege trennten sich. Irgendwann, mein Umzug von Kassel nach Hamburg lag einige Zeit zurück, liefen wir uns in der neuen Heimat über den Weg und hatten Zeit länger miteinander zu sprechen. Dabei stellte sich heraus, das uns beide doch mehr verbindet als uns trennte. Alex kommt aus den alten AZ Strukturen und kulturelles und politisches Handeln waren und sind für ihn immer eine Einheit gewesen. Ähnliches schreibe ich mir zu. Hier lag unser Anknüpfpunkt und unsere Freundschaft vertiefte sich bei der gemeinsamen Arbeit für den VUT-Nord. Wer mit mir arbeitet weiß, das Alex meine Pakete annimmt, da ich nicht die Möglichkeiten dafür habe, dafür wirklich ein megagroßes Dankeschön. Mit einem Augenzwinkern möchte ich anmerken, das dieses ja nur ein Vorwand ist, ihn kurzzeitig und kurzweilig mit meinen neuesten Ideen und Ausführungen über die Ungerechtigkeiten dieser Welt zu drangsalieren und ihm somit eine Pause vom Label und seinen kleinen und super bestückten Mailorder für Ska, Rocksteady, Beat und Skinheadreggae zu beschaffen. Trading records was also the thing, that brought Alex and me together. He was living in Aachen and our start was a little uncomfortable, to be honest. We lost contact, our ways parted and when I moved form Kassel to Hamburg, we met again in our new, mutual home and found the time to have some extensive chats.
