The band started in 1998 from the ashes of the legendary garagepunkpopband The Basement Brats. Guitarist Nils tempo and drummer Mads Husvik (Bratman) decided to play music that were closer to there hearts - 60`s garage psychedelia and powerpop, so they mixed the two genres and The Nuggets were born. Drummer Mads Husvik burned his drums, bought a Rickenbacker guitar and started playing guitar and sing. Nils and Mads asked a cople of good friends if they wanted to join them. So now they got Robert Eriksen on bass, Camilla Bekkhus on organ and Ulf Agnalt on drums. Shortly after they started the "Powerpop Girl" E.P was released on Sneakers. A year later the "Crystelline Creations and pop sensasions" LP and the Alchemists of music MLP. Then Mads moved to Sweden ( were he still lives, now playing in the Swedish pop sensation The Carnation ) and after a while the band found it selves not haveing time to play, so they went kinda into hibernation and are at this moment sleeping like a baby. All members are at the moment doing other stuff.
